Dr Sarah Russo
Dr Sarah Russo is a registered and endorsed Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) with over 10 years experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families across a range of settings in the private and public sectors, including hospitals, schools, forensic and sports settings. Sarah is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and registered with Medicare to provide clinical psychological services under Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative.
Sarah has a thoughtful and compassionate approach to the emotional care of her clients, and provides a therapeutic space that is safe, supportive and strengthening. She is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of others and works collaboratively with clients to develop resilience and assist them in achieving their personal goals. Sarah's therapeutic approach is informed by evidenced based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Therapy, Mindfulness, and interventions drawn from positive psychology research.
She has experience working with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, behavioural difficulties, interpersonal and family relationship difficulties, stress management, self-esteem, trauma, body image/disordered eating, and school related issues. Sarah also has an interest in women’s health, including perinatal and postnatal health and parenting issues.
